This website and application are operated by NoThinkLearning Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 17379581). We are the data controller for the personal information described below.

What information we collect
When you create an account or use Life in the UK Revision, we may collect:
- Your name
- Your email address
- Your phone number (if provided)
- Your postal address (if provided)
- Your learning activity — questions answered, scores, topics studied, and progress over time
- Technical information collected automatically via analytics (see Cookie Policy below), including device type, pages visited, and how you interact with the site
Why we collect it
- To create and manage your account
- To provide and improve the revision service — tracking your progress so the app can adapt to what you need to study
- To contact you about your account (e.g. password resets, service updates)
- To understand how the site is used, so we can fix problems and improve it (via analytics)
We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
Where your data is stored
Your account and learning data is stored using Supabase, hosted on Amazon Web Services in the EU-West-1 region (Dublin, Ireland). This means your data stays within the European Economic Area.
Who else sees your data
- Supabase (database and authentication hosting) — Ireland, EU
- Vercel (website/app hosting) — may process data outside the UK/EEA in the course of serving the site; Vercel is bound by standard contractual clauses for any such transfers
- Resend (transactional email, e.g. password resets) — processes your email address only to send you service emails
- Microsoft Clarity (analytics) — see Cookie Policy for details
We do not share your data with any other third party except where required by law.
How long we keep your data
We keep your account and learning data for as long as your account is active. If you ask us to delete your account, we will delete your personal information within 30 days, except where we're required to retain it by law.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Ask us to correct inaccurate data
- Ask us to delete your data
- Ask us to restrict or object to how we use your data
- Request a copy of your data in a portable format

You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk if you believe we've mishandled your data.
Children's privacy
Life in the UK Revision is intended for people preparing for the UK Life in the UK Test, which can include applicants aged 18 and over as well as some younger users. We do not knowingly target the service at young children, and we do not collect more information than is necessary to provide the revision service.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. If we make significant changes, we'll let you know via the site or by email.
